Created during the pandemic lockdowns when travel reached a standstill, this fluid work depicts the urban world reclaimed by nature. The infinitely looping video brings up questions around the environment and human influence. Like JG Ballard’s novel The Drowned World, we experience the British landscape returned to some kind of natural form, covered in vegetation. Seen from a drone’s point of view, we are flying over overgrown motorways, cities and airports. We used architectural models to highlight that the world may be a better place without our interference.
