Transfiguration (2024): Forward Walking presents a new angle on one of our classic artworks.

Transfiguration depicts a figure in constant motion and constant evolution. In this version, they advance towards us rather than past us – bringing us face to face with this colossal figure.

As the figure walks endlessly forward, they develop and shed a series of natural states – bubble, smoke, floral, wood – before closing the cycle by returning to water. Their strong, steady steps are unaffected by their material upheaval.

Transfiguration (2024): Forward Walking is a reworking of Transfiguration (2024), the third iteration of an artwork we originally made in 2011 and remastered in 2020.
