Screens of the Future is a series of visionary prototypes based on the emerging technologies of flexible displays, shape-shifting materials and context-aware functionality.
These moving image artworks highlight humanity’s increasingly integrated relationship with technology, imagining digital content becoming ever more freed from the confines of a flat, rectangular screen. They speculate on the potential for everyday objects, structures and surfaces to become smart interfaces that respond to human or even animal interaction, or that adapt to their environment. Together these short animations explore the changing ways in which we’re connected to our surroundings and serve as product demos of our near future.
Screens of the Future was exhibited as part of the Mindpark creative conference in Shenzhen, China, 20–24 April 2018.
